<p><a href="http://somervilleopenstudios.org">Somerville Open Studios</a></p>
<p>My studio is at 86 Joy St, studio 4. Since it&#8217;s a little out of the way (#20 on the SOS map), there will be shuttles from Joy Street to other areas of Somerville.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m still figuring out what I&#8217;ll be hanging, but the following images are already framed and on the wall. I&#8217;m a bit all over the place in terms of artwork. I love all aspects of photography, so I have a bunch of different projects going on at any given time. I&#8217;ll be showing some film work, some digital, some Polaroids (including rare 20&#215;24 Polaroid images that I almost never show), and whatever else I have time to prepare. I have large-format color urban landscapes at night, portraits, documentary travel work, etc.</p>
<p>I know, a flower picture. There&#8217;s something about this one that doesn&#8217;t feel cheesy to me, though. I printed it huge (I think 30&#215;40).</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img style="vertical-align:middle;margin-top:5px;margin-bottom:20px;" src="http://www.arguedasphotography.com/images/jsos08/01.jpg" alt="Flower in Providence" /></p>
<p>These next few are from Italy. Florence, to be precise.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img style="vertical-align:middle;margin-top:5px;margin-bottom:20px;" src="http://www.arguedasphotography.com/images/jsos08/02.jpg" alt="Hotel Window, Italy" /></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img style="vertical-align:middle;margin-top:5px;margin-bottom:20px;" src="http://www.arguedasphotography.com/images/jsos08/03.jpg" alt="Nun on a Bicycle, Italy" /></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img style="vertical-align:middle;margin-top:5px;margin-bottom:20px;" src="http://www.arguedasphotography.com/images/jsos08/04.jpg" alt="Skylight, Italy" /></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img style="vertical-align:middle;margin-top:5px;margin-bottom:20px;" src="http://www.arguedasphotography.com/images/jsos08/05.jpg" alt="Food Vendor, Italy" /></p>
<p>This one is one of my all-time favorite pictures I&#8217;ve ever taken. It&#8217;s one of those times where I got the perfect split-second where everything is perfectly placed in the frame. My photo hero Cartier-Bresson calls it the &#8220;Decisive Moment.&#8221;</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img style="vertical-align:middle;margin-top:5px;margin-bottom:20px;" src="http://www.arguedasphotography.com/images/jsos08/06.jpg" alt="Butcher on a Bicycle, Italy" /></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img style="vertical-align:middle;margin-top:5px;margin-bottom:20px;" src="http://www.arguedasphotography.com/images/jsos08/07.jpg" alt="Iron Grate, Italy" /></p>
<p>Here are 2 of my Holga pictures. I&#8217;m showing 5. I still love using film and printing in a darkroom.</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img style="vertical-align:middle;margin-top:5px;margin-bottom:20px;" src="http://www.arguedasphotography.com/images/jsos08/08.jpg" alt="Holga picture 1" /></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><img style="vertical-align:middle;margin-top:5px;margin-bottom:20px;" src="http://www.arguedasphotography.com/images/jsos08/09.jpg" alt="Holga picture 2" /></p>
